We are looking for insulation contractors who can:
- Learn and apply techniques for dense-pack wall and attic insulation.
- Conduct air infiltration work using blower doors and pressure diagnostics.
- Perform minor carpentry and mechanical diagnostic testing.
- Understand and implement energy program requirements using a House-as-a-System approach.
Qualifications for Weatherization Contractors:
- Current contractor license, insurance, and lead firm certification.
- Lead RRP certification (if required).
- Own or have access to necessary equipment, tools, and diagnostic test equipment.
- Ability to complete work according to MN energy program policies, standards, and requirements.
- Work is contracted on a set-fee basis (UCAP may provide access to diagnostic equipment and an insulation blower).
Mechanical and Electrical Contractors
We are seeking qualified mechanical and electrical contractors who can:
- Perform work according to code and program guidelines.
- Own or have access to required equipment and tools.
- Meet certification requirements (if applicable).
Qualifications for Mechanical and Electrical Contractors:
- Current contractor license (if required).
- Current insurance and bond.
- Lead firm certification and lead-safe practices certification (if required).
- Work may be contracted on a bid or set-fee basis, depending on project location.
