For over 60 years, United Community Action Partnership (UCAP) has been making a difference right here in Southwestern Minnesota.
We continue to fulfill our mission of eliminating poverty by empowering individuals and strengthening communities. UCAP provides over 25 programs and services that help empower and strengthen our communities in the key areas of community, family services, housing, and transportation.
Last year alone, UCAP served 25,027 unduplicated people and 10,377 households across our nine counties and 4 extended service counties. 49% of the people that we helped are at or below 100% the federal poverty guidelines. UCAP had 647 partnerships with organizations such as churches, businesses, schools, service clubs, etc. Our volunteers stepped up too with 66,804 volunteer hours (of which 48,466 hours were provided by low income volunteers) in 2023.
