What started as a simple volunteer program taking older adults to meal sites has grown into a hub for transportation solutions.

United Community Action Partnership is proud to be home to a transportation program that has been a front-runner in innovation for 3 decades.
We operate Community Transit, a public transportation program in Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone, Redwood and Rock counties. Our public transit system was among the very first in rural Minnesota to use automation in our dispatch service.
We’re here for you if you need us.

A few years of experience with public transit quickly showed us that if we really wanted to help people, we need to do more. The Southwest Regional Transportation Coordinating Council (RTCC) is the way we work towards more every day. Browse through our site and get to know us.
The RTCC is seeking input on the Region 8 Human Services Public Transit Coordination Plan.
This Plan is legislatively mandated, and must be updated every 5 years. The strategies in this plan determine the priorities for expanding transportation access in our region. Public input on this Plan is vital. Please take time to look through it and provide a comment. (Specific goals for upcoming years begin on page 68).
Our Transportation Programs
We offer many transportation programs within our nine-county region. If you have a need that isn’t addressed within our following list of services, please let us know so we can locate what you need and make the connection on your behalf.
