Studies have identified lack of transportation as one of the greatest barriers to finding and maintaining gainful employment.
Especially in rural areas, people without transportation have a hard time getting to jobs that will help support their families.
If this is your barrier, we can “Help You Get There!”
This program matches donated vehicles to eligible families. Donors may be able to claim the maximum fair market value of their donated vehicle as a charitable tax contribution.
Helping People Get There!
Since United Community Action Partnership (then Heartland Community Action Agency) started the “Helping People Get There” in September 2008, over eighty families have received a vehicle. We have many stories to share about how each vehicle has changed the new owners’ lives.
United Community Action Partnership is working with Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker, and Renville County Human Services Agencies and their MFIP Employment Specialists to identify and match eligible applicants with donated vehicles. Together, we can help you achieve goals of self-sufficiency and independence.
United Community Action Partnership is an EOE/AA/ADA compliant organization.
